NDUGA - The Task Forces of the Para Raider Infantry Battalion 432/Waspada Setia Jaya Kostrad, one of the military units under The Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command (KOOPS TNI) in Papua, is currently conducting the mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in Nduga Regency area, Papua Pegunungan Province. On Tuesday, 16 July 2024, the 432 Task Forces, especially the Yigi Post, invited children from the Yigi Village to participate in territorial activity that specifically increased the literacy of Papuans. This program is implemented to deliver additional lesson activities for Elementary School (SD) children who live near the Post.
In his emphasis on the TNI Soldiers, the Commander of 432 Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Zulfikar Akbar Helmi, conveyed the importance of the Task Forces' attention to the basic necessities of the community around the Post. For this reason, the Yigi Post, led by First Lieutenant Gayuh Nanda Prayudin, has been observing developments in its area since its duties began. The education factor for SD children is one of the important things in the basic necessities of the people in the Yigi Village. Based on this attention, on that Tuesday morning, 1LT Gayuh invited SD children around the Post to participate in additional lesson activities delivered directly by two representatives of the Yigi Inpres SD Teachers, Mr. Pius Ohoiwutun and Mr. Lukas Maruru.

Before the lesson began, 1LT Gayuh expressed his thanks for the response of the two teachers who were willing to attend and fulfill his invitation. Not to forget, 1LT Gayuh also expressed his gratitude for the enthusiasm of the children who flocked to the Yigi Post to take additional lessons. On that occasion, 1LT Gayuh also distributed several free school supplies to all the children present, including books and stationery. After the lesson, a child studying, named Matius Gwijangge, said "Thank you, Om Tentara (Army Soldier), for giving us books and stationery. We are happy to be able to study at the Post 432 Kostrad. God bless Om-Om Tentara (Army Soldiers)."
"The initiative of the 432 Task Forces to hold territorial activity that specifically increased the literacy of Papuans at the Yigi Post, is an effort by the TNI to provide basic necessities services, especially education for school-age children, to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region, " said the KOOPS TNI Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, upon receiving the program report.
